Scarbarough Faire

Sorry for taking so long to update the blog; there has just been so little to report outside of work craziness.

This weekend Daddy and i went out to the Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie.  Daddy decided to drive the truck there while the rest of us rode the motorcycles.  Heaven help us all; they actually wanted me to lead the group.  i managed to get us there and no one had an accident so i think it went well.  We heard there was going to be rain on Sunday so i decided to take Daddy's 3-wheeler instead of my bike.  His bike has a lot more stability in the rain.

The first day at the Faire we got there early enough for Daddy to get a prime parking spot close to the door.  We tried to keep His time on His feet to a minimum.  The performers were great (check out Queen Anne's Lace), the food was great (Scottish Eggs), and the company was great!  Big news is that while we were there, Daddy picked out a costume.  He found a leather outfit that looked like some type of high ranking official.  It has an overcoat made of light weight black leather with a blue trim.  Under that is a light weight black leather jerkin with removable sleeves.  Under that is a simple white cotton shirt.  Daddy asked for a custom pair of pants with a two-toned blue pattern.  i'll post a picture as soon as a the whole costume is complete.  It truly is a beautiful outfit.  And it means Daddy will be able to dress up like i do when we go to the faires.  Of course, i think we may have to do a dungeon scene with Daddy in the leather overcoat.  :)

We decided to head back out there on Sunday too.  It was a lot of fun but we almost got caught by the rain.  The storm blew up faster than we expected.  i think it was the fastest we have ever gotten into our gear and on the road.  We had to really race down the road (maybe just a bit above the speed limit) but we made it safely back to Austin ahead of the storm.

Now just resting on the couch.  i took tomorrow off work so i can rest & recover from the trip.  It will also give me a chance to finish unpacking from the trip.  All-in-all it was a fun weekend
